Police appeal after sea lions shot dead in Waitaki

Sergeant Tony Woodbridge of Waitaki Police says Police were notified by the Department of Conservation (DOC) that sea lions had been shot at the mouth of the Waitaki River. Read more here.

NOAA designates critical coral habitat as fish survey yields promising results

NOAA Fisheries recently finalized critical habitat designations for five threatened coral species across the Pacific Islands, with one species, Acropora globiceps, found in waters around Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
