Saved from plastic, sea turtle released back into the wild

A loggerhead sea turtle was recently released back into the sea in San Javier after receiving care at the El Valle Wildlife Recovery Centre. Weighing just over 8 kilograms, this turtle is the fourth to be recovered and released along the Costa Calida this year. It had been found near Mazarrón in late August, tangled in plastic debris. Australia sets new standard in ESG with massive marine expansion

The Australian government announced the expansion of the sub-Antarctic Heard and McDonald Islands Marine Park, adding 310,000 square kilometers of no-take zones. This move brings 52% of Australia’s oceans under protection, surpassing its international commitment to protect 30% of oceans by 2030, a target under the Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF).
